My name is Julia Niwareba and I am a Kindergarten Class teacher, working with Victorious Community School, next to the Mushunga Orphanage. My passion is working with young children, and watching them grow.
At the beginning of the year, I was contacted by Mushinga Team member, Innocent, who works with the Mushunga Project’s founder, Tonny.
Innocent knows that I have a certificate in Child Care and Early Childhood Development, and he suggested that I come along to be interviewed for one of the teaching roles in the project.

After some initial conversations with Innocent, I realised that the vision of the organisation, to support our local orphans, really resonated with me.
An orphan myself, I had experienced suffering as I grew up, with the rest of my siblings, and I immediately felt connected to the humble backgrounds of all of the children in the Mushunga Community Project.
I have been blessed by God to have found well-wishers who supported me through my own education, and I promised Him that I would be of service to my community once I had completed my studies.
When Innocent reached out to me on behalf of the Mushunga Project, I really knew that it was God’s call.
I am now in a wonderfully satisfying position of being able to play my good fortune forward, by helping these incredibly resilient, young children, spiritually, physically, and educationally, so that they can meet their goals too.
I am grateful to the Mushunga Project for giving me a platform to serve these children and with God’s blessings I hope that I may undertake a larger role as our organisation successfully grows.
